For those who want to exercise using the booklet ”Stress incontinence information, advice and exercise”!
The booklet has 8 pages and contains information on stress incontinence, lifestyle advice and pelvic floor exercise programmes. Its effectiveness has been assessed in a study in which 250 women with urinary leakage at least once a week were assigned to Internet- or booklet-based treatment.
The participants in both programmes experienced significant and clinically relevant improvements. Two years after treatment, two thirds of the women were still pleased with the treatment results.
The study was approved by the research ethics committee at Umeå, Ref. no. 2015-79-32M
